Heavenly Creatures rescued Porter and his brother from a feral cat colony some years back. His mom wrote to us in June of 2021 with this happy update:

“Porter is my “foster fail.”

He’s still feral if you’re anyone but me (unless you have treats).

He’s so possessive and screams at people to go away because he doesn’t want them getting my attention. He also looked after me when I had my hysterectomy…he laid on me with his arm across my belly, wouldn’t let anyone near me, and wouldn’t leave my side.

I’ve been through Hell just to accommodate him and make sure he had as little stress as possible for my move back to Ontario, which isn’t easy when he’s so easily stressed, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I need him just as much as he needs me and I’d be lost without him.”
