Good news! After almost two months of being missing, Smokey was found a long way from home in the Thorburn Rd. area. He family says that he is in rough shape but will be fine with some TLC.

Bailey is a small, male, Terrier/Poodle mix who is 14 years old, and has a heart condition that requires daily medication.

Our family has lost our pet cat Kitty. She has been missing from Reid Street since Monday, February 11, 2009.
Kitty is a short-haired, tan-coloured tabby cat. Although her main colour is tan, she does have flecks of grey/white and orange (shoulder area). A distinguishing feature is white coloured fur on her throat area.
Please check your garages and sheds. As Kitty is mainly an indoor cat it is possible she may have climbed inside in order to avoid the weather.

UPDATE, April 18th, 2010: Suki has not bee found; her family is still holding out hope that she is alive, and well.
Suki went missing on Beachy Cove Road near West Point Road Tuesday April 14th, 2009.
Suki is a spayed, microchipped, female all-gray 4 yr old cat. She looks like a Russian Blue and is affectionate, although shy with strangers. (NOTE: the microchip info has not been updated and shows her address in France where she was born).
She is an indoor cat who has recently been allowed out to explore. She has always come home. It has been almost a week, and we are getting frantic. It is so cold outside!

A little dog called Fuzz is missing from her home on Henry Place (near Monkstown and Circular Road).
She's only 10-12 pounds in weight, and is a spayed Havanese dog (sort of a poodle/bijon mix look-alike) with curly light-beige and white fur.
When 10 year-old Fuzz got out very early on Friday morning (Aug 14/09) and was not wearing her collar or any ID -- although she did have a PINK t-shirt on.

This tabby kitty has been found hanging around the Coast Guard Base in St. John's. He appears very clean and friendly and seems to be a year old or less.

FOUND on Sept 27/09:
Small, short-haired, orange striped male cat found wandering around the Empire Avenue/Bonaventure Avenue area in the East End of St. John's.
He is wearing a black collar, no name tag.
Looks to be between 6 months and 1 year old, and appears to be neutered.
Very friendly, eating well, is litter trained and looks to be well cared for.
This little guy is probably not a stray and we want to reunite him with his owners as soon as possible. We are sheltering him for the time being, but cannot keep him because we have another cat. If you know of anyone missing a cat matching this description please call or email

UPDATE AUG 4/09: Rescuer still has this cat. Had him checked and he is a neutered male. No microchip. The vet clinic told me that 35% of the cats being spayed/neutered at that clinic are being microchipped, but not this boy. If only everyone opted for microchips, it would be so easy to get cats back to their owners. If his owner does not come forward in the next couple of weeks, I am going to place him with new owners.

Is this white and grey tabby cat yours?
He was found in the Windsor Lake area (Portugal Cove side) sitting on Old Broad Cove Road at midnight on the night of June 29th/30th. It was near where Maggie's Place intersects with Old Broad Cove Road.
The kind person who took this cat in put some signs up on the super mail boxes along Old Broad Cove Road, and says that the cat could have come from Portugal Cove Road or Windsor Heights or even Oliver's Pond Road if she came up the trail through the woods.
The cat was wearing a nice collar with a bell on it. He's a very nice cat, very friendly and is in good shape. He looks likes he is someone's well-loved pet.
His Rescuer be reached at 834-2894. NOTE: the collar it is wearing came from Pet City.

This stray male cat was found in Chamberlains on Fowler's Road. He is tabby and white.
